Hallo everybody, I´m pageysflower and I´m watching this community for a long time. I´m a Beatles fan since I was 14 years old, I started to learn English because of them and got an acoustic guitar form my dad. This was many years ago... well I must say, when Beatles played at Shea stadium in 1965 I was 8 months old baby :) . My mom got me into the Beatles and I´m very happy for it. My favorite was always Paul, but I have a thing for Johnny as well... I must say all the 4 boys are awesome, handsome and talented.
So... now my first post here- Paulie with various animals, because this is for me, the animal lover, the cutest thing ever... :)

Green Tea staining teeth?

I drink about 4 cups a day at work. I love it and am not going to stop drinking it, but I have heard that it can stain your teeth. Has anyone experienced staining of the teeth with prolonged drinking of tea? Is there something I can do to prevent it? I know this stuff stains my coffee mug, but a little salt take even the worst of stains away so I feel like just brushing my teeth would handle business also.

ACV + Body Odor

Hi everyone! I know some of you take apple cider vinegar and I was wondering if you noticed if it gave you body odor?
I told my mom I wanted to try taking ACV to help my eczema, but she told me had tried taking some a long time ago (just for health, she doesn't have eczema) and noticed it gave her horrible body odor. I said I would take at the most a tablespoon a day, and she thinks she probably had less than that.
I just wanted to know if anyone here had similar experiences before I started taking it.

Some of you may be following my Where I Write project where I've been traveling around the U.S. (and Canada) photographing fantasy and Science Fiction authors in the spaces they write in for a book. I've been blogging about it as it happens on my own lj but occasionally Better Than Ordinary stuff happens for which an announcement seems in order.
Worldcon gave me eight pages in their program guide to talk about the project and just today, Philcon, (the Philadelphia Science Fiction Convention) put up a .pdf of their program guide which includes a four page essay of mine with photos. You can see it and read it here, it starts on page 49 and has photos of Neil Gaiman, Lois Bujold, Piers Anthony and
tobiasbuckell.
And here's Samuel R. "Chip" Delany in his writing space, you will notice a collapsed shelf which he has propped up with four Nebula awards -- they're so utilitarian.

If you're actually going to Philcon, please check out my lj as my schedule's in there and I'm doing a photography slide show on Saturday, which you should come see.

It's that glorious time of year when we reunite with loved ones (we neglected all year), stuff our faces to excess, and pass out in front of the TV. Perhaps a recalibration of the thanksometer is in order. A spin-off of the popular GivesMeHope.com site, this community invites you to document moments of kindness, generosity, and pure human love in 350 words or less.

Despite its mainstream appeal, Thanksgiving is not for everyone. There are those struggling with food disorders, for whom this day causes endless conflict. There are the cash-challenged, who can't afford the gluttony we've grown to expect. There are the lonely, who don't have loved ones nearby. And let's not forget the vegetarians, who decry the animal cruelty. But there's one more group we often overlook: the terminally lazy! This community of lazy vegetarians offers easy recipes for an animal-friendly feast.

Just in time for holiday shopping season, this fashionista community brings you the world of haute couture in the form of sumptuous photos, video clips, and candid commentary. There's also a sugary sprinkle of mainstream movie discussions and debates on such pressing social issues as manicure styles and celebrity colonics. If you need a break from the daily grind to indulge your girlie side, this is twinkly pink on steroids.

Haha so I might have mentioned the evil algorithms homework of dooooom that kicked off the shittiness of last week. Seven pages of proofs and algorithms, handwritten, on both sides of the paper. Stayed up all night last Sunday to finish it, left three or four problems blank, half-assed a couple others, and was completely unsure whether the rest was acceptable or not. Had a minor breakdown in the study-abroad program director's office an hour before it was due, flailing about how I was going to get a three out of twenty and die of shame. He made a bet with me that I was wrong about failing the universe: if I got a passing grade (10 or better) I owed him coffee; if I got 5 or less he owed me coffee ("and a bottle of rum I should think!" added the assistant director).
That was last Monday. We got it back today.
The program directors KNOW we are a bunch of overachieving anal-retentive freaks and have beaten it into our heads that the French grading system is not the American grading system. Depending on the class, 14 to 16 out of 20 gets converted to an A when they do our transcripts. So they have spent a lot of time going "DO NOT KILL YOURSELF IF YOU GET A THIRTEEN, it does not mean what your gut reaction thinks it means, nobody gets more than an 18 practically ever, etc. etc."
Turns out they lied. Liiiiied. Because my raw grade was 15.25 out of 20 (yes, I did the math), but they curved it so that the people with the highest score got a 20. I ended up with a 19.
I have never been so happy to lose a bet in my life.

Most of you know I adore photography, and that means both sides of the camera.
Over the last year, I have had several photo shoots, and have more coming soon. (A super hot one right after Thanksgiving).
I have been told a few times recently that I should put together an online portfolio for my modeling pictures. For other photographers to find me, and to show off my creativity and ideas in general.
Well, if you know this much about me, you probably also know that I have a creative form of ADD or something. I'm not simply one or two forms of artistic. So I have my photography posted on my Flickr, my coloring and my favorite photo manipulations posted on my DeviantArt, and most of my favorite pictures from any given modeling shoot on my Myspace. I also have my twitter which will generally have links to my new things posted any given place.
The generally suggested place for my modeling portfolio would be Model Mayhem, which I don't currently have an account.
So the question I am asking is: Do you think I should have a separate account on a separate site for my online modeling portfolio, or should I piggy-back one of the sites I already have? If I were to piggy-back one of my current accounts it would be DeviantArt. I would have a separate folder though, so not to take away from my coloring work that already gets posted there. What do you think?

So, I just chased my 7-mo-old kitten around the apartment as she swallowed a piece of yarn, spaghetti-like. It was maybe 6" long? It was plain wool.
I've heard horror stories about things like this getting tangled in their little intestines, about surgery, and death. But I've also heard about them eating crazy things and being fine. So my questions:
1. Will she digest it, since it was just well...sheep's wool?
2. Is there anything I can give her to either aid her digestion or cause her to throw it up before it gets too far?

I'm new to this community
Recently Ive been inspired and have revisited several of my old stories, editing and adding to them.
I've found in the past, that having people review and critique my work, keeps my motivation levels high enough to keep me writing, so I'm going to post some of them here in hopes to gain some new readers.
This is my baby, Lacerated Heart. I've edited this thing so many times and it still sucks. Currently the very first chapter has been updated, and later today the second chapter will also be edited. Right now the second chapter and beyond are still the original poorly written chapters
M/M slash A story of love and destruction. When innocent, naive Kiro falls in love with his highschool friend, Draek , the most popular guy in school, will his love ever be returned? Or is he in for a life of condemnation from his peers *rated T-M*

The second story I wrote the prologue for years ago, and have only recently developed a more in depth story line for. So I can actually start writing it now.
Can the King of Hell fall in Love? Rated M for later Chapters.

~
The third is also very old. It;s not my best work, but I still like it. I know the story line is pretty unoriginal, but hopefully I can change that when I revisit it.
When life can't get any worse, One person tries to take everything, but as they say, when a door is closed, a window is opened. About a reject who is destroyed, who will pick up the pieces. twist in chapter 5*

Thanks in advanced to anyone who actually reads ^^
